What is Business BTEC National and why study it? We will be offering the Extended National Diploma in Business. This is equivalent to taking 3 A levels. Students will cover units looking areas such as: • Exploring Business • Developing a Marketing Campaign • Personal & Business Finance • Managing an Event • International Business • Principals of Management • Recruitment & Selection Process • Investigating Customer Service • Investigating Corporate and Social Responsibility • Principals of Management • Pitching for a new business • Market Research • The English Legal System The course is designed to involve continual assessment and is different to A levels as there is not a large proportion of the course weighted to final exams. Learning will be encouraged in a practical way and students will apply the underpinning theories, research and analysis to bring a depth of understanding to their work. Where next? BTEC courses can be taken instead of A level qualifications and attract UCAS tariff points for university in a similar way.
