Minimum entry requirement for Sixth Form entry is 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, which must include English Language or Maths. Grade 6 or above in GCSE Music and a Grade 5 in GCSE is advisable. A demonstrated instrumental/vocal standard of at least Grade 5 ABRSM r equivalent. Candidates who have not studied Music at GCSE may still apply to take A Level Music. We will assess candidates for suitaboility on a case-by-case basis, but typically we would require instrumental/vocal standard of Grade 5 ABRSM or equivalent and either Grade 5 in Music Theory and/or a portfolio of compositions.
