This is a two year course for those wishing to work with children in either early years, primary or special needs settings. If you wish to work in any form of education or care sector career, an understanding of early developmental years is essential knowledge and experience. The units studied cover all aspects of understanding and supporting children and how to apply this knowledge in the workplace, including Child Development; Play and Learning; Safeguarding in Early Years and Health and Safety in Early Years Settings.
5 x GCSE's at grade 4, Maths or English or Literature at grade 4 and 3 for the others
Assessed through coursework which takes the form of assignments, successful completion of placement and external assessment.
