Overview of Course Poetry: Students will study a range of poetry from different times whilst developing further their techniques of analysis and evaluation. The poets studied are Christina Rossetti, Philip Larkin, and Carol Ann Duffy. Drama: Students will study the changing traditions of drama over time. Texts studied are The Tempest, A Streetcar Named Desire, and The Duchess of Malfi. Unseen Texts: Students will use and apply their skills of literary analysis in the examination of unseen prose and unseen poetry texts.
The entry requirements for our Level 3 courses are a grade 6 or above in the subject you wish to study, alongside a grade 5 or above in Maths and English.
Exam: 80%. Non-Exam Assessment: 20%.
