Course summary

The BTEC Health and Social Care course is a two year course that covers many aspects of Health and Social Care. This is an exciting course where students research and investigate a variety of relevant topics related to the ever changing world of the Health and Social Care sector of industry. The content of the course has a vocational setting to give students a good understanding of the work carried out in this area. You will be expected to undertake relevant work experience in the Health and Social Care sector to assist with your studies.

4 GCSE Grade 4 or above.

Total number of units – 4. Units 1 and 2 – written exam, set and marked externally. Unit 5 – an assignment set and marked internally. Optional Unit – an assignment set and marked internally.
