Course summary

By the time you have finished studying economics, you’ll also have developed some very valuable, transferable skills: - Communication: presenting findings and explaining complex data. - Numeracy: handling complex data and applying mathematical and statistical analysis methods. - Problem-Solving: extracting information, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations. - Time Management: completing specific tasks within designated time frames. - Analytical and Evaluative Skills: analyzing research methods, data, conclusions and recommendations.

Entry requirements

Five standard passes at GCSE (9-4) in five different subjects (only one BTEC will be considered), with at least one being GCSE English or GCSE Maths. A minimum of grade 5 in GCSE English and a grade 5 in GCSE Maths.

How you'll be assessed

100% of the assessment is via examinations at the end of the 2-year course. Students will sit 3 exams (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and a synoptic paper). Each paper is equally weighted.
