This course is designed to provide students with an experience of a range of business disciplines with a focus on developing entrepreneurial skills. Ideally you should have an interest in:- the world of work : how businesses operate; and, marketing and entrepreneurial skills. As well as giving you an excellent understanding of the functions of business you will also get the opportunity to develop your communication and problem solving skills.
GCSE Grade 4 in English if the subject has not been taken before. Level 2 pass in a vocational business course if the subject has previously been taken.
You'll be assessed through coursework and examinations. Evidence gathered for coursework will include written tasks, observations and practical tasks. One unit of the course is assessed externally through examinations and the other unit is internally assessed through coursework.
