Students will be introduced to a variety of experiences that explore and experiment with a range of two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional media, processes, and techniques for example drawing, painting, mixed-media, sculpture, ceramics, digital art, printmaking, and photography. They will be made aware of both traditional and new media. Students will explore the use of drawing for different purposes, using a variety of methods and media on a variety of scales. Students may use sketchbooks/ workbooks/ journals to underpin their work where appropriate. Students will explore relevant images, artifacts, and resources relating to a range of arts, crafts, and designs, from the past and from recent times. This will be integral to the investigating and making processes. Students’ responses to these examples will be shown through practical and critical activities that demonstrate their understanding of different styles, genres, and traditions
The entry requirements for our Level 3 courses are a grade 6 or above in the subject you are wishing to study, alongside a grade 5 or above in Maths and English.
60% Coursework. 40% Exam.
