Students who study PRE often go on to university to study Philosophy, Theology, Classics, Anthropology, and Social Sciences. Religious Studies prepare students for a wide range of careers but above all help to produce students who are critical and analytical thinkers. Component 1: Philosophy of Religion - -Philosophical Issues and Questions- Design, Cosmological, and Ontological arguments for belief and disbelief in the existence of God. -Nature and influence of religious experience, Language and Eschatology.
- Grade 6 at GCSE Religious Studies If not studied at GCSE, Grade 6 in either GCSE History or Geography - At least a grade 5 in English (Language or Literature) and 4 in mathematics, or a grade 5 in mathematics and 4 in English (Language or Literature); - A minimum GCSE Best 8 Point Score of 35.
Each of the 3 papers is a 2 hour written examination worth 33.3% of total marks.
