Year 12 Course overview; Biological molecules, Cells, Organisms exchange substances with their environment, Genetic information, variation and relationships between organisms, 6 required practical activities. Year 13 Course overview; Energy transfers in and between organisms, Organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments, Genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems, The control of gene expression, 6 required practical activities. You will learn through practical tasks and written coursework. To be a successful student you should be hard working, have excellent organizational skills, have a proactive attitude, be wiling to do more than just the minimum requirements and have a desire to succeed.

Entry requirements

English -Grade 5, Maths - Grade 5, Biology/Trilogy - Grade 6 and 2 additional Grade 4'S.

How you'll be assessed

You will be assessed on your progress throughout the course, with at least one assessment per half term You will also be assessed on your practical skills This assessment will count towards your Practical Endorsement but not your final grade. Exam questions on the external examinations will assess your understanding of the skills and procedures from the required practicals.
