Course summary

It all starts with a sketch! Concept art and ideation - that first thought quickly sketched out that develops into a creative wonder. At ESA, we research the masters of artistic design and craft and apply their genius to our own aesthetic development. We love the classics and respect them - we also believe in innovation and daring to mix up form and style to find your own creative voice. Learn how to use a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional processes to create art that is personal, purposeful and meaningful. This is a GCSE that encourages you to be an artist and learn about other artists. You will learn skills such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, casting, and drawing and learn how to be creative. You will: Enjoy creating artwork, have an interest in other artists, enjoy creating things, like experimenting and be willing to try new things.
