Course summary

This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and practical skills needed for working in the Plumbing and heating industry and will prepare you to enter a plumbing apprenticeship program. On completion of the apprenticeship, you the learner will be recognized by the industry as a competent plumbing and domestic heating engineer, and you will also achieve Gas Safe registration. The new technical certificate is run in conjunction with employers and experienced tutors from the industry meaning you as the learner experience the best possible teaching and training available, Subject content consists of complex cold hot central heating and biomass technology, Synoptic assignments which are held in practical workshops and the classroom provide the experience needed to carry out the design of all aspects of plumbing and heating systems. Subject content consists of complex cold water, complex hot water, complex central heating, and environmental technology systems.
