In this course, scientific ideas and facts are introduced which will help candidates develop an awareness of scientific issues in a range of domestic, industrial and environmental contexts. The course also encourages the development of skills in interpreting, evaluating and discussing scientific ideas and planning and carrying out practical investigations.
- A total of 50 points across a pupil's 'best 8' GCSEs with the grade number (9-1) contributing the relevant number of points. At least grade 7 at GCSE in the following subjects, in order to study that subject at A level: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, French and German.
