Based in our commercial salon, The Lounge, you will have an exciting opportunity to provide a range of treatments such as eyelash and brow treatments, facial skin care, waxing, basic manicures and pedicures to paying clients. First-class client care and customer service play a key role in ensuring a professional and enjoyable salon experience. Our Connecting Classroom to Career ambassador, Rhea, completed this course before progressing on to the level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology. She has since secured employment as a Nail Technician with luxury spa cruise liner, Steiner!
You should have four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths. Achieving a good standard of English and maths is a key requirement for many jobs, as well as for courses you may wish to progress on to. If you achieve below a grade 4 in your English and/or maths GCSEs at school, you will study it alongside your chosen course when you join us. If you already have a grade 4 or above in English and/or maths but wish to achieve a higher grade, we can also support you to do this.
You will be assessed throughout the course by a combination of practical assessments, written assignments, end-of-module exams and portfolio building.
