Have you ever wondered how people acquire skills and how you should teach them to improve performance? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the right course for you. We offer a broad-based course that will give you the opportunity to explore a range of topics within sport, health and wellbeing, including anatomy, coaching and leadership, fitness training, sports development and practical sports performance. The emphasis throughout this course will be on developing your theoretical knowledge of sport and health, practical skills in coaching and leading and developing the performance of others.
To study a BTEC Extended Diploma, Diploma or Subsidiary Diploma you will need to have achieved: • Four GCSEs at grades 9 to 4, or a Merit in a full Level 2 BTEC Diploma. • Grade 4 or above in GCSE English and Maths is preferred. • If you want to add an A Level with your BTEC, you will need to meet the entry criteria for A Levels. • All new specification BTEC Level 3s will have controlled assessments and/or an exam element.
