The aim of the course is to enable candidates to develop a sound knowledge and appreciation of: The dynamic nature of Geography, both in time and space; - Geographical concepts, principles and theories; - Geographical processes in a variety of spatial scales; - A sense of place on an extending and deepening scale; - A variety of skills and techniques for the analysis and interpretation of data; - The fact that geographical patterns are a consequence of physical and human interactions over a period of time - Environmental issues and the interactive role of human activity and the environment
- A total of 50 points across a pupil's 'best 8' GCSEs with the grade number (9-1) contributing the relevant number of points. At least grade 7 at GCSE in the following subjects, in order to study that subject at A level: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, French and German.
