BTEC Applied Science covers a lot of the same content found in the A Level courses, however aims to give students a broader overview of science. As such, this means there are topics that cover biology, chemistry and physics content. The course is taught by two teachers, who each cover a variety of topics, depending on their specialist knowledge. At the end of year 13 there is an optional unit that is chosen in discussion with the class and class teachers.
Six GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths.
As a BTEC course, it is assessed through a combination of assessment and coursework.
