This is a challenging course that will be very beneficial if you have plans to study Mathematics or Engineering at university. It is possible to take this subject as an AS qualification over two years. It has the reputation of developing students’ logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ideal for students who want to extend their knowledge of Mathematics beyond A Level.
- Students need to have been entered for the higher tier and we will expect them to have achieved a Grade 8 or above at GCSE. Students must also be studying A Level Maths to take this course. - Grade 4 GCSE in English and Maths plus three other Grade 4 GCSE passes
Students will be assessed by four 1 ½ hour exams at the end of the two-year course. Each exam is worth 25% of students’ overall grade.
