Course summary

Modern Agriculture requires a wide range of skills and understanding and as such you will quickly develop these in areas relating to crops and animal husbandry, hand tools (estate skills), machinery such as tractors, quad bikes, power tools and power units. This is further enhanced by looking at precision farming techniques such as AI, use of drones, GPS machinery and whole crop systems. Courses are delivered using a range of methods including classroom based exercises, in the workplace or online study. You will gain many skills that will be used within employment. There are many careers within the agriculture industry such as: • Farm Worker • Stockperson • Agronomist • Tractor Driver • Sales/Buyer • Contractor • Relief Milker • Advisor • Nutritionist • Farm Manager

Entry requirements

To study at level 3 you must have at least 4 GCSEs at grade 4 and above, or equivalent qualifications.
