This course offers students the chance to learn about the science behind dealing with the maintenance of health and the prevention and treatment of disease. It is ideal for students who are thinking of a career in healthcare or medical research. The qualification allows students to access higher education courses or equips students with the skills to enter employment in areas of medical science such as clinical laboratory services.
GCSE combined Science (Grade 4/4) or Triple Science (Grade 4/4/4)
The assessment is a mixture of assignments completed throughout the course, and examinations that are marked externally. Learners are allowed two resits of the external units.
