This course is not only for those who wish to be on the stage, but also those who wish to take on a backstage role in Costume, Set, Lighting or Sound Design. The theatre is a magical place where the human condition is conveyed in the most creative way. This A Level allows you to express yourself and explore your craft. The course aims to introduce you to a range of practitioners and playwrights; exploring their work both practically and analytically. Students get the opportunity to respond to selected texts from the perspective of an actor, director and designer. As well as studying set texts and practitioners and analysing live theatre, you will also take part in a group devised and group scripted performance.
