The course covers a wide variety of concepts such as: – Life and living organisms, including their physical structure, chemical processes, molecular interactions, physiological mechanisms, development and evolution. – Energy transfers in and between organisms; how organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environment; genetics; the control of gene expression; evolution and ecosystems.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs at 5, with a minimum of 7 in Double Science (or proof of a 7 in Biology) and 6 in Maths.
You will sit various in-class assessments throughout the 2 years of your study including practical experiments, leading up to formal exams at the end of the second year.
