This course enables you to read widely and develop your skills of analysis and argument by exploring English literature across time and genres, examining how writers present the nature of society and human experience. You will choose two texts to compare for your coursework which may be linked by theme, movement, author or period. By the end of this course you will have studied: • Two drama texts including a Shakespeare text • An anthology of 21st century poetry • A poet • Two prose texts • Two texts of your own choice.
Grades 9-4 in English and four or more GCSEs at grades 9-4.
