Course summary

Join the early years team and embark on a two-year journey of exciting opportunities to develop many new skills. You will attend college for three days and a placement setting for two. In college, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in preparation for higher education and employment in the sector. Courses are delivered using a range of methods including classroom based exercises, in the workplace or online study. After completion of this course you can become an: • Early years practitioner • Teaching assistant • Childminder • Nanny • Play worker Or you can progress on to higher education to achieve a degree in Primary school teacher, Nursery teacher, Child psychologist, Play therapist, Social worker.

Entry requirements

Qualifications are important as we want to make sure that you are making the right choice. The qualifications required are set by the level of the course for which you are applying as our aim is always to ensure that you are on the right path to achieve your career aspirations. For the level 3 course, you are required to have achieved 4 GCSE's of which 2 must be maths and English, with at least two other subjects.
