This course deepens the specialist work– related focus from previous qualifications already gained by individuals and is broadly equivalent to three A Levels. The qualification is designed to provide highlyspecialist, work–related experiences in a range of professions within the sports sector and provide individuals with opportunities to achieve a nationally recognised level 3 specific qualification. This will provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment and provide career development opportunities for those already in work. It will give learners the opportunity to develop a range of techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life. This is equally as suitable for learners who may wish to gain the qualification in order to enter a specialist area of employment or to progress to a higher education foundation degree, Higher National Diploma or degree. Delivery will be face-face with a mixture classroom and practical based units.
4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above and must include English and maths or a relevant level 2 qualification.
