Students will be introduced to a variety of experiences exploring a range of textile media, techniques and processes. They will work with both traditional and new technologies.Students will use relevant images, artefacts and resources relating to a range of art and design, from the past and from recent times, including European and non-European examples. This work is integral to the investigating and making process. Responses to these examples will be shown through practical and critical activities which demonstrate students understanding of different styles, genres and traditions.Students will explore drawing using a variety of methods and media on a variety of scales. Students will use sketchbooks and boards to present their work.
- Five full course GCSE at Grade 6, in separate subjects at Grade 6 or higher (Core and Additional Science count as separate subjects. Short course GCSEs do not count towards the full course GCSE requirements). - Students should have a minimum of Grade 5 in both English Language and Mathematics. - Grade 6 or above in Art & Design (Fine Art or Textiles) or Design & Technology: Product Design
