Course summary

Law is everywhere around us. It shapes the way our society works and in turn is itself shaped by the way society develops. On this course the following areas are studied: The Legal System Criminal Law Law Making The Law of Tort The Nature of Law Human Rights Law You will examine the way laws are made, the criminal and civil court systems and the ways in which these courts interpret the law. Through your studies you will develop your analytical, problem solving, research and communication skills.

Entry requirements

- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or equivalent, including English Language or Mathematics are required to study vocational subjects. Requirements are higher for A Levels and subject specific requirements apply for some subjects. Entry criteria will be discussed in more detail during your Sixth Form interview.
