A variety of approaches are used across the two years of study. Formal whole group teaching takes place alongside group presentations, classroom discussion, research assignments, investigations and modelling. DVDs are used for stimulation and a range of printed materials to develop understanding. The internet is also widely used as an excellent source of up to date information.
Students will need to have at least five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above including English Language and Mathematics at Level 4. To enable students to select the most appropriate subjects at A-Level we use a system based on their APS (average point score) from their GCSE results. We advise students to take the subjects which best fit their APS.
