Course summary

This engaging and relevant course will give you the opportunity to; • engage with the relationship of human populations to each other over space and time. • study the relationship between human populations and their physical environment at a variety of scales from the local to the global. • consider your own role in relation to themes and issues being studied and the roles, values and attitudes of others including decision-makers. You will gain an appreciation of current events in both human geography and in physical geography. You will learn how to design and implement a fieldwork investigation involving the collection of both primary and secondary data, the clear presentation of your results and accurate analysis of the trends and patterns you have identified. You will acquire a wide range of specific skills for the presentation and analysis of geographical information in the form of maps, graphs, sketches, annotated diagrams, photographs, statistics and extended writing.

Entry requirements

- Grade 5 in GCSE Geography. - Five GCSEs at grade 4 - 9 including English Language.
