It develops a range of practical artistic skills, the ability to work through a process and produce a finished product, and to analyse artists' work. These creative and lateral thinking qualities are sought after in many career fields with the A Level being valued on most degree courses. It is highly recommended for those considering degrees and careers in creative, visual, media and design areas with students going to study Architecture, Digital Graphics, Video and Film.
- We will require at least a grade 6 in GCSE Art or, in exceptional circumstances, a suitable portfolio of work. You will be expected to further your knowledge and appreciation by visiting art galleries and exhibitions in your own time as well as undertaking research as part of the course. Non-RLS students without Art GCSE need to indicate on the application form that they have such a portfolio if needed for inspection. - At least eight GCSEs (including English (Language or Literature) and Mathematics at a minimum of Grade 6)
