This intensive course, approved by University of the Arts London (UAL) Awarding Body, one of the leading performing arts universities in the country, is specifically designed to challenge and train aspiring arts professionals, to enable them to prepare for degree-level study and their careers in the industry. Delivered by professional actors, directors and choreographers actively working in the industry, you will explore, develop and test your creativity in a practical training environment including our bespoke theatres, dance studios and workshops. Tailored to meet the demands of the industry, you will develop a broad range of performance skills and technical abilities, culminating in a live end-of-year performance. Successful alumna, Rebecca, achieved D*D*D* after completing this course and has now progressed to London College of Music to study a degree in Musical Theatre.
You should have three GCSEs at grade 4 or above or should have successfully achieved a UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma in Performing and Production Arts. Achieving a good standard of English and maths is a key requirement for many jobs, as well as for courses you may wish to progress on to. If you achieve below a grade 4 in your English and/or maths GCSEs at school, you will study it alongside your chosen course when you join us. Students will also need to take part in a practical audition. This could be a 1-2 minute performance of a song, dance, monologue, movement piece, circus skill or improvisation. More information will be provided once you have applied.
There are no exams. This course is 100% practical and project based which allows you to explore and express your creativity in an open environment.
