
Business studies develop a critical understanding of organisations, the markets they serve and the process of globalisation. It also studies the behaviour of businesses from a range of perspectives and their ability to meet society’s needs and wants. In this course, you will develop practical applications of business concepts and reinforce your understanding of key theories and concepts. You will also gain an active rather than passive understanding of the subject and its key areas, which include marketing and people, managing business activities, business decisions and strategy and global businesses.
Grade 5 in Maths and English. Grade 5 in Business if studied at GCSE.
The assessment is focussed on developing your ability to acquire a range of important and transferable skills including data skills, presenting arguments, making judgments and conducting research. It is assessed through examinations which take place at the end of the course and will total six hours. This A Level has no coursework or controlled assessment.
