Course summary

There are many benefits of studying A Level Law. It links all aspects of society. Studying Law gives students an understanding of the role of Law in today's society and raises their awareness of the rights and responsibilities of individuals. By learning about legal rules and how and why they apply to real life, students develop a range of skills and apply them in critical thinking and problem-solving scenarios. All these skills are highly sought after by higher education and employers. Students develop a range of transferable skills: analytical skills attention to detail logical thinking research skills essay writing skills the ability to produce a balanced argument.

Entry requirements

Grade 6 GCSEs in English Language and a Humanities subject (History, Geography or RE).

Paper 1 The legal system and criminal law 2 hours Paper 2 law making and the law of tort 2 hours Then either Paper 3 - The nature of law and human rights 2 hours Or Paper 4 The nature of law and law of contract 2 hours
