Course summary

You should follow the course if you wish to develop: • Your own skills with an opportunity to specialize in performance or production support • An understanding of all aspects of performing arts • An insight into the nature of performing arts in employment opportunities, constraints, and the issues facing professionals working within the sector Follow a further mandatory unit which will focus on a group performance, where you will develop the essential psychomotor and affective skills for the performing arts. You will develop physical techniques as well as wider transferable skills, such as being able to work collaboratively, personal management and organization (rehearsals, time-management), being able to give and take direction, confidence in front of an audience, problem-solving (refining the process), and teamwork.

Entry requirements

Students who have a keen interest in any element of Performing Arts are recommended to choose this course. This course is suitable for students who have not studied Performing Arts at level 2. Extended Certificate at the end of Year 2.
