In Drama & Theatre Studies, students will follow the EDUQAS specification. The course allows students to develop their understanding of theatre by combining the exploration of plays, theatre companies and practitioners, creating theatre, performing play and researching and analysing theatre. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their work and personal development with the support of the Drama team.
● have a minimum GCSE/BTEC Total Point Score (TPS) of 32 (see below) ● meet the subject-specific entry criteria; ● have a full programme of study with 3 A Level courses or equivalent. The most able students have the option of studying a fourth subject. Grade 5 GCSE in English and if Drama was taken at GCSE a Grade 5 will be needed.
Component 1 - 20% - Practical & Written Coursework (Year 12) Component 2 - 40% - Performance Exam and Written Coursework (Year 13) Component 3 - 40% Written Exam (End of Year 13)
