An introduction to macro and microeconomics. Micro: Market theory, market structures and market failures. We look at environmental failure, public health and welfare, the housing market and fair competition. Macro: National income, performance indicators and international trade. We look at how the macro economy works and issues such as inflation, unemployment, and economic growth.
- Minimum grade 5 in both English and maths. - A minimum of 4 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 4 or above, and two GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 5 or above.
Each exam will be worth a third of the A-level. All three papers will draw on material from the whole course and will feature a range of question styles including. - Multiple choice questions, - Essay questions, - Data response questions with case study analysis
