he Cambridge TEC in IT is an industry relevant qualification geared to the requirements of the workplace and its use of ICT. The course requires the students to complete 5 units of work over 2 years: · Unit 1 – Fundamentals of IT - External Exam · Unit 2 – Global Information - External Exam · Unit 3 – Cyber Security - External Exam · Unit 8 – Project Management - Coursework · Unit 17 – The internet of everything - Coursework Students will have to keep a high standard of work throughout to achieve the highest levels. There are 4 possible grades: Distinction*, Distinction, Merit and Pass.
At least 5 courses successfully at the following levels; 9 – 5 (or equivalent) at GCSE, or level 2 BTEC/CTEC/VCERT.
50% exams, 50% non-exam assessment.
