Why study this course? Performing Arts allows students the chance to refine their skills and understanding in their chosen pathway (Acting, Singing, Dancing or in all three). What interests should you have? You could be interested in any element of Performing Arts, but it is helpful if this includes performing, rather than the production side as the course is predominantly performance-focused. What will the course cover? • Various performing arts practitioners. • Devising and performing as an ensemble. • Developing as a solo performer and another specialist unit.
The minimum course entry requirement to follow a Level 3 programme is five 9-4 GCSEs. Students must be willing to take an active role in the performing arts.
50% coursework. 25% written exam. 25% practical exam.
