Why should I choose this subject? • I am fascinated by the science of the mind and behaviour. • This course is equivalent to A-level and is accepted by the majority of universities for entry to degree-level study. • It fits well with most other 6th Form subjects. • It is useful for almost every future career. This provides an excellent basis for undertaking one of over 2,000 undergraduate Psychology degree courses. Psychology graduates are highly employable, as they are literate, numerate and analytical – they also have an excellent understanding of themselves and others. Psychology degrees are very varied and range from Forensics, Education, Business, Clinical/Health Psychology, Sports, and Counselling.
At least a 5 GCSE grades (9-4) including a 4 in Maths, a 5 in English and a 5 in Science.
In year 1 there is an exam for unit 1 (in January) and a research project In year 2 there is another exam for unit 3 and a further coursework module.
