This BTEC course is studied alongside 2 or 3 A Levels and is a course highly regarded for those wanting to progress onto a degree. It is broadly equivalent to one GCE A Level. The course provides progression opportunities to higher education, degree and professional development programmes within the same or related areas of study. Previous students have gone onto university and employment. IT is useful to all students, not just those who wish to follow a future career in an IT related industry. It provides high level skills in areas that are very attractive to future employers. The course is assessed through a mixture of external exams and written assignments, practical activities such projects, observations and presentations.
