GCE A Level Mathematics is a course worth studying, not only as a supporting subject for the physical and social sciences, but in its own right. It is challenging but interesting. It builds on work already met at GCSE, but also involves new ideas produced by some of the greatest minds of the last millennium.
- Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics - Students who have achieved at least six GCSE or equivalent passes (4-9) including English and Maths.
Three examination papers lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes each in Year 12, comprising two compulsory units (Core 1 and Core 2) and an application unit (Statistics 1). Three examination papers lasting 1 hour 30 minutes each in Year 13, comprising two compulsory units (Core 3 and Core 4) and an application unit (Mechanics 1).
