Why study this course? This course is designed for students who are interested in exploring an enterprise idea. During the course, students will develop the skills necessary to plan a viable business enterprise. What interests should you have? Ideally, students should be interested in business ownership; an ideal student is brimming over with ideas for small business start-ups. They may have an interest or a hobby that they can exploit and turn into a business, or they may have a burning desire to help their community and open a social enterprise. What will the course cover? The externally assessed unit covers business basics, the internal and external environment, and basic financial tools.
3 in English and/or Maths.
There are four units of study. Unit 1 is externally assessed, and the final three units take the students through the development of a viable business plan.
