Product design is a creative and thought-provoking qualification that gives students the practical skills, theoretical knowledge and confidence to succeed in a number of careers, especially those in the creative industries. Students will gain a real understanding of what it means to be a designer, alongside the knowledge and skills sought by higher education and employers. At Wren Six, we use practical lessons to underpin the theory and practical techniques needed to be successful in the non-examined assessment (NEA) unit.
Grade 5 or above in GCSE Design Technology, or related course
Written Exam – Technical Principals 2 hours and 30 minutes – 50% of overall outcome. Non-Examined Assessment (NEA) – To design and make a personalised project – 50% of overall outcome.
