Course summary

The Law course covers a variety of topics ranging from Law Making to Murder, to give students a breadth of knowledge. Studying Law gives students an understanding of the role of Law in today’s society and raises their awareness of the rights and responsibilities of individuals. Law is an excellent subject to take into higher education. By learning about legal rules and how and why they apply to real life, students also develop their analytical ability, decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. All these skills are highly sought after by higher education and employers. This subject can progress on to University degrees in and around the subject of Law as well as a pathway into law-based apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

The basic entry requirement to study at Manshead Sixth Form is for students to achieve five grade 5 or higher grades in five different subjects. These five subjects must include English and Maths. Grade 5 or higher in English
