Students are introduced to business in 4 Themes:- Marketing & People, Managing business activities, Business decisions & strategy and Global business. Students will apply their knowledge and understanding to real-life business contexts, with updated content to reflect the issues impacting on modern businesses in our specification and real business case studies in all our assessments. Students will develop transferable skills that support higher education study and the transition to employment, including numeracy, communication, an understanding. You will learn through practical tasks and written coursework. Students will develop the knowledge and skills needed to analyse data, think critically about issues and make Informed decisions – all skills that are needed for further study and employment. Must be committed, be hard-working, be able to work independently, have good computer skills and must have good time-management skills.

Paper 1: Written exam: 2 hrs, Three compulsory sections: Section A has 15 multiple choice questions worth 15 marks. Section B has short answer questions worth 35 marks. Sections C and D have two essay questions worth 25 marks each. Paper 2: Business 2 - Written exam: 2 hours Three data response compulsory questions worth approximately 33 marks each and made up of three or four part questions. Paper 3: Written exam: 2 hours, One compulsory case study followed by approximately six questions.
