Within the course, you will study anatomy physiology, and sports development. Alongside these, you will have the chance to help and lead on organizing sports events and coaching sessions. You will also have opportunities to play and practice sports and participate in health and fitness activities. What interests should you have? An interest in sport, health, and/or fitness is a great start for access to this course. What will the course cover? The course will cover anatomy and physiology in relation to sports, fitness, and health. You will also learn about sports development and organizations in sports. Units will also contain practical sports elements.
The minimum course entry requirement to follow a Level 3 programme is five 9-4 GCSEs. Level 2 Pass or a Grade 4. Grade 4 English.
Two exams in year 12 with three smaller pieces of coursework in year 13. Parts of all the coursework can be practical sessions.
