Additional Requirements Students undertaking the extended certificate should select two additional subjects at A Level or BTEC. Students will need the discipline to make effective use of independent study time and be able to meet strict deadlines. It is essential that students have excellent attendance due to the nature of the course. Some components of this course will be delivered practically and students will be expected to fully participate at all times. As part of the course, students will be expected to support formalized activities in the lower school.
Four GCSE Grade 4 or above, including English and Mathematics.
This qualification is assessed across 4 units including 2 external assessments. The styles of external assessment used for qualifications are as follows: • Examination - One 1 1/2 hour exam in Anatomy and Physiology • Set tasks - Learners take one assessment during a defined window and demonstrate an understanding of the course.
