Course summary

Biological molecules, cells, and organisms exchange substances with their environment, genetic information, variation and relationships between organisms, energy transfers in and between organisms, organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments, genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems, and the control of gene expression.

Entry requirements

To gain entry into the Taverham Sixth Form for A-level studies, you will need six Grade 4s or above in your GCSEs which must include GCSE English Language and Maths. In a subject that you have taken at GCSE and wish to continue, a Grade 5 is recommended in that subject. Attitude to learning and attendance at GCSE will be taken into account when looking at progression within a subject. In essay-based subjects we strongly recommend a Grade 5 in English. In science-based subjects we strongly recommend a Grade 5 in maths.
