Course summary

WHAT I BE LEARNING? 1 - Fundamentals of IT (exam) 2 - Global Information (exam) 3 - Application Development (Practical) 4 - Project Management (Practical) 5 - Product Development (Practical) HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT? The course allows many opportunities for practical work and for individual investigations. WHAT SKILLS WILL I DEVELOP? Students develop a wide range of skills required in ICT and apply these within work-related contexts. These include building an understanding of the main principles of solving problems using ICT developing project management skills and understanding the need to work with others. You will learn to apply their knowledge and understanding of ICT and use skills (e.g. planning, research, evaluation, problem solving) in vocational contexts.

Entry requirements

5 passes at grade 4 or above. Advantage to have studied at KS4 but not essential.
