The A level Art course gives all of our students a broad base in a visual world and equips them with the knowledge and skills to navigate and thrive in this environment whatever their chosen pathway. Our vibrant and dynamic course covers a wide range materials and techniques to inspire and bring out the best in our students and equip them with the skills to continue with the subject with confidence at degree level and beyond. The program of study at A level follows on from work started at GCSE. The course is designed to develop student’s skills and further develop and explore different techniques and materials. Students develop their analytical skills further taking their thoughts and ideas up a level, research a wide range of artists and artwork. This builds the student’s previous skills and develops these further preparing them for a career in the arts world.
Five grades at 5 and above (including English and Maths). Grade 5 or above in GCSE Art.
